Implementacja bibliometrycznych metod oceny czasopism w Polsce – przypadek nauk humanistycznych i społecznych

Methods of evaluating scientific discoveries have been on scientists’ minds for centuries. In Poland, since the 1990s, projects of various evaluation methods have been presented, but none of them came even close to the methods developed in classical bibliometrics. The author of the article tries to present the reasons for this state of affairs. He ends his considerations with the conclusion that it is impossible, also at present, to transplant the worldwide tried-and-tested bibliometric methods of science evaluation into Poland, primarily in the field of the humanities and social sciences
