ALMA is a powerful new tool which can also observe the solar atmosphere, a very dynamic and spatially intermittent phenomenon. Observing the temporal evolution of a solar target at high spatial resolution is essential for understanding the processes at work in the solar atmosphere. Since Cycle 4, ALMA gives solar observers a unique opportunity to obtain high cadence time series of intensities at mm wavelengths. However, producing science ready output from the calibrated measurements sets is a very laborious and challenging task.
