Pedestrians are vulnerable road user. Pedestrian safety is an important concern for planners and engineers in developed as well as developing countries. Approaching this concern requires a complete understanding of the numerous factors affecting it, including urban planning and design, law enforcement, driver and pedestrian behavior and education, as well as pedestrian needs. Pedestrians are facing problems while crossing at unsignalized intersection under mixed traffic condition. Risk of pedestrian injury increases in environments where there is a lack of adequate infrastructure for pedestrians, and where vehicles are allowed to travel at high speeds.
