Approaching this concern requires a complete understanding of the numerous factors affecting it, including urban planning and design, law enforcement, driver and pedestrian behavior and education, as well as pedestrian needs. Pedestrians are facing problems while crossing at unsignalized intersection under mixed traffic condition. Risk of pedestrian injury increases in environments where there is a lack of adequate infrastructure for pedestrians, and where vehicles are allowed to travel at high speeds. A clear understanding of pedestrian transport interaction under mixed traffic conditions is required for providing necessary infrastructure and conjointly for rising pedestrian safety. This project tries to seek out the interaction between pedestrian and vehicle, vehicle approaching speed, vehicle count, pedestrian crossing speed and pedestrian volume count at Alagarkovil road under mixed traffic condition. It's determined that the pedestrians have great issue in crossing as most of the drivers don’t look after the waiting pedestrians. This project examines all possible parameters that causes accidents and to design the preventive measure for improving the safety of the pedestrian and also help to reduce the pedestrian vehicular interaction under mixed traffic condition
