A garden is a planned space, that is, a controlled space incorporating both natural and man-made materials. In it, sometimes, it is evoked the Garden of Eden, the Paradise on Earth, such as in charbagh gardens. Here it is proposed a discussion of alignments of the designs of gardens along the directions of sunrise on solstices and moonrise on lunistices. We will start from the Gardens of Taj Mahal.
