Abstract: This study was aimed to assess the training needs of public-school teachers in Malapatan 1 District towards a proposed intervention program in addressing the Philippine Professional Standards for Teacher. The researchers used cross sectional survey that aimed at finding out the prevalence of the outcome of interest. Based on the findings of the study it was found out that in content knowledge and pedagogy was strongly needed while in the three domains: learning environment and diversity; curriculum and planning and assessment and reporting were much needed. It was also recommended that school heads are encouraged to consistently monitor and supervise the implementation of RPMS-PPST, Webinar Series and SLAC to address training need...
