Phylogenetic diversity indices evaluate biological communities from the perspective of the evolutionary interrelationship between species, and thus, help to maximise taxonomic, genetic, or functional diversity conservation effectiveness. Phylogenetic diversity (PD) is an indicator that is pointed out in the recent COP 15 Global Biodiversity Framework to measure biodiversity. This use case aims to improve computation time of the existing pipeline (PhyloNext), to make it a real-time exploration tool.
