Understanding how researchers find research software for research practice

Research software is gaining recognition as a critical research input and output. To better understand how researchers in Australia find software to use or build upon, the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) conducted a survey to understand their software discovery mechanisms and their searching behaviours. The survey leveraged existing studies, which we tailored for Australia. The results are presented in this report
