The OA Book Usage Data Trust is exploring how an International Data Space (IDS) can address issues of trust, data quality, and resource-burdens for OA usage data reporting and analytics. Repositories must normalize, curate, and aggregate open usage and impact metrics to articulate the relative impact of repository participation for a given scholar or institution. While well-resourced organizations may have the time and expertise to put their own usage statistics in an aggregated cross-platform context, spanning open and privileged usage data from COUNTER and non-COUNTER compliant reports, smaller repositories often do not have this capacity.
