This virtual workshop, as part of the OPERAS-P conference on the Future of Scholarly Communications, focused on findings of a report about academic libraries in Europe and OA books, released at the end of February 2021 as a joint publication of the OPERAS-P and COPIM projects. The report has examined general library systems in 14 European countries, looked into how libraries deal with open access book initiatives, what challenges they encounter and how these differ per country.Community-led Open Publishing Infrastructures for Monographs (COPIM) is supported by the Research England Development (RED) Fund, and Arcadia—a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Peter Baldwin
