We present a strategy for the improvement of wireless sensor data transmission latency, implemented in two current projects involving gesture/control sound interaction. Our platform was designed to be capable of accepting accessories using a digital bus. The receiver features a IEEE 802.15.4 microcontroller associated to a TCP/IP stack integrated circuit that transmits the received wireless data to a host computer using the Open Sound Control protocol.
