Chelating Behaviour of a new Pyrazolylacetohydrazide : Bis-Complexes of Nickel(II) with α-[3,5, Dimethyl-1-Pyrazolyl]acetohydrazide.

The coordination behaviour of a new Pyrazolylacetohydrazide, α-[3, S..Dimethyl-1- Pyrazolyl] acetohydrazide (synthesised in the laboratoy) has been reported by complexation with Nickel(Il) salts. Bis-Complexes of the type Ni(PAH)X2 .2H2O (X=CI, Br, NO3 , \(SCN, ^1_4\)SO4) have been characterised from magnetic and diffuse reflectance spectral data in the solid state and molar conductance and electronic spectral data in solution. All the nickel(Il) complexes are octahedral as evident from spectral data and the corresponding ligandfield parameters calculated in terms of Oh symmetry. I. R. spectra of the ligand and the complexes have indicated the pyrazole-ring nitrogen and the amidenitrogen (involving and imidol structure) of the hydrazide residue as the points of attachment sbowing neutral bidentate of the ligand
