STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF MENTAL DISORDERS INCIDENCE ON SUICIDE MORTALITY IN THE POPULATION OF THE CENTRAL FEDERAL DISTRICT

Using the methods of statistical analysis, a direct relationship between mental illness and suicide of the population of the Central Federal District has been established. It is shown that a significant part of suicides can be explained by the identified problems of mental disorders. Suicide is an important social problem in the Russian Federation. Since people with mental illness are one of the most important population groups with a high level of suicidal activity, this paper examines the impact of the incidence of mental disorders on mortality due to suicide, in order to reduce suicides in the future
