This deliverable reviews and describes the possible objective functions in the MPC formulation for the hybridGEOTABS concept. Model Predictive Control implies the recurring use of an optimization problem in the discrete time which aims to minimize a cost or objective function. In building HVAC applications, typical objectives are the minimisation of the energy use, energy cost or CO2-emissions, while maintaining the indoor environmental quality and thermal balance of the geothermal borefield. Alternative objectives are discussed, such as the peak power, share of RES, flexibility etc.This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 72364
