In a similar way to its predecessor ERIGrid, the fundamental objective of the ERIGrid 2.0 project is to provide on-site and remote lab access to an integrated Research Infrastructure (RI), operated at 21 distributed installations in 13 countries. The ERIGrid 2.0 lab access programme is offered mainly to the European research community where the need of investigating and validating complex smart grids configurations and smart energy systems is essential. The access scheme includes free of charge access to the integrated infrastructure, technological and scientific support and funding to cover travel and accommodation during the on-site stays.
