The results of the field investigations in Vietnam carried out by the authors are given. The main result of this expedition is addition to collections of tropical and subtropical plants of NBG by new interesting for biodiversity conservation species of Vietnam flora. The significance of further field investigations in Vietnam for study the ecological requirements of orchids species in natural habitats and estimation of the conservation status of the most endangered orchid species in the flora of Vietnam are emphasized
