Adsorption of heavy metals is a new technology for the treatment of wastewater containing different types of selected heavy metals. This study investigated the adsorption capacities of Pb and Cd onto ARHC and URHC made out of rice husks, available as agriculture waste. The effect of various parameters such as pH, adsorbent dose, adsorbent concentration, and contact time on the removal of Pb and Cd by ARHC and URHC were also examined. It was discovered that adsorption capacity decreases with an increase in pH solution this so because the available Pb and Cd molecules are not able to cover all the exchangeable sites on the biosorbent.
