Analysing and predicting system performance and availability depends largely upon reliability and maintenance data. Attaining statistically credible data can require observations from several years of operations. Fortunately, this data collection process can be quickened if this data is shared within the community of organisations in the same working domain. The goal of this task is to develop an open reliability information system to provide a common platform for storing and sharing reliability information on components in the area of energy management.
