Major challenge in rice production is to achieve the goal of enhancing both yield and fertilizer use efficiency. A new mutant rice variety var. Sin Shwe Se was used in the present study to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the N-fertilization technique under irrigation and different nitrogen fertilization rates, 60kg N/ha, 80kh N/ha and 100kg N/ha with split application (at 10 days after transplanting, active tillering stage and panicle initiation stage).
