This paper explores the transformative potential of translanguaging in India's education space. We examine how translanguaging is being used to promote multilingualism, enhance learning outcomes, and foster social inclusion in schools and universities across the country. We also critically analyze the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which recognizes the importance of translanguaging and its implications for language teaching and learning in India.
