Plenary 6: Open science, research translation, equity and diversity 21 November 2022 In November 2021 the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science acknowledged the potential open science (including the core component open access) has to make the scientific process more transparent, inclusive and democratic. Amongst the core values described in the recommendation are equity and fairness, and diversity and inclusiveness.
