The city as a complex system abstracts itself in the physical, social and cultural dimension. The object of study is Tena, an Amazon Ecuadorian city, specifically the commercial axis: Avenida 15 de Noviembre, keeping in mind that informal commerce is an important aspect in the city. The research seeks to understand what factors affect high quality public spaces from social actors. The methodology is developed in two stages: data mapping of the physical part; and the perspective of different actors in the urban space, through a focus group analyzed by impact matrices.
