Kumpulan Cerpen Saksi Mata: Perlawanan atas Kekejaman di Timor Timur

Eyewitness anthology contains 13 short stories by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Since these short stories have associative links to the events occurring in a particular society, namely the East Timorese society, it is assumed that the short stories are thick with sociological nuances. Therefore, this study utilizes the theory and method of sociology of literature. Having studied with theories and methods (approach) of literary sociology, it is known that the short stories are indeed using the reference of the world outside the text. This is evident through the author's admission in his essays as an explanation of the creative process of the creation of short stories. However, as a work of fiction, these short stories do not lose their existence as "literary" because of structurally various aspects the builders remain functional so as not to get caught up in the sloganistic attitude. In this case the author (Seno Gumira Ajidarma) is able to distance himself and be able to place himself between two worlds, namely the fictional (imaginative) world and nonfiction (factual)
