Current debates in education

If I am asked to symbolise our era with a few numbers of keywords, three of them would probably be the terms of cognition, information and computer. The concept of “knowing” and its integral components “knowledge” and “science”, emphasised for centuries by the humanity, have become the creative elements in all kinds of technology throughout its centuries-long evolution from the first human history to the day. Ranging from the most primitive tools and materials to today’s advanced technologies, the high-speed transformation of knowledge to technology seems pretty marvellous. The greatness of our age, or in other words, of the computer age, reminded us of the very simple reality that how quickly we produce the information and share it with so many people is also base for how efficiently the technology is turning so fast. Today, If we can talk about the tremendous power and influence of computer technology, we have to search its power in human beings efforts for improving its cognitive capacity to the maximum skill. The book Current Debates in Education is the collection of the papers about various studies in the fields of Education in The VI. International Congress on CUDES 2018. The articles are dealt with different topics ranging from developments in educational sciences and technologies to new perspectives about teaching and learning strategies most of which based on cognitive skills. Achieving their goal, as is evident from the papers, the scholars used various research designs, most of which are quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods
