FEATURES OF THE LEGAL REGULATION OF LABOR ACTIVITIES OF SCIENTISTS IN UKRAINE: CURRENT STATE

The article examines the peculiarities of legal regulation of the labor activity of a special subject of labor law - a researcher. It is noted that the legal regulation of the work of scientific workers is based on the general principles of regulating labor relations, although it has significant features due to the creative nature and special importance of the work of scientists and the demands placed on such an employee. The peculiarities of legal regulation of labor relations with scientific workers are proposed to be considered only in connection with the theoretical foundations and general rules of unity and differentiation of such regulation. An important feature of modern legal regulation of relations with scientific workers is the combination of their centralized regulation with local regulation carried out by each scientific institution separately. The main regulatory legal act that regulates labor relations with scientific workers is the Labor Code of Ukraine, however, its norms, which contain only general provisions, do not take into account the nature of relations with workers in the field of science. This explains the existence of a number of special legal acts. Attention has been drawn to the fact that today one of the main directions of state policy should be to increase the social status and professionalism of scientists, to strengthen their state and public support.
