Lonely living mentally ill patients of a late age are characterized by a significant predominance of women. The relationship of clinical manifestations with gender indicators has been established. Among single men, patients with schizophrenia and patients with deficiency syndromes prevailed. Single women were more likely to experience vascular diseases and psychogeny, as well as productive syndromes. Somatic condition was better in single men than in single women. The data obtained must be used when developing a program of medical and social assistance to lonely living mentally ill patients of late age
