This paper aims to explain why the current US-China trade war has emerged, by highlighting the key ideas of their power strategies in this new era of globalization, while using power transition theory’s key independent variables, as stigmatized by its author, Abramo Fimo Kenneth Organski. Of course, in this new era of globalization, the era of great transformations and complex, United States and China seem to be developing two opposing visions of power strategies, the first in the sense of conservation and the second in affirmation’s sense.
