RT Connect is software designed for verification of radiotherapy treatment planning. By including files in dicom format from TPS, RT Connect is able to calculate the amount of Monitor Unit of the treatment. For the calculation of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, Modified Clarkson Algorithm is used, in which the beam is decomposed in relation to the collimator leaves, and the calculation is performed by adding the contribution of each leaf to a calculation point of treatment. Multiple points can be defined so the beams do not have collimated points. Other correction factors are considered, and can be edited and configured according to user preferences
