PRINCIPLES AND METHODS OF APPROACH TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOGISTICS SYSTEM IN AZERBAIJAN

The article discusses the role and importance of the logistics system in the development of the national economy, its goals and objectives. The logistics system is characterized as a complex system, and the basic principles and methods of approach in the process of its formation are listed. The importance of scientific and theoretical substantiation of the applied approaches and implemented measures to ensure the main characteristics of the logistics system is emphasized. It is noted that during the formation and development of the logistics system, special attention should be paid to the issues of the purpose and objectives of the system, the geography of activities, tasks and responsibilities of the functional entities of the system, organizational and managerial structure, analysis, evaluation and forecasting of performance. The main directions and nature of the state policy pursued for the development of the national transport and logistics system in Azerbaijan are characterized, and the ways to achieve sustainable development of the logistics system are substantiated
