Aim: To investigate dyslipidemia pattern in patients with type 2 diabetes and to determine the correlation of increasing age and duration of the disease with dyslipidemia, insulin level and insulin resistance in diabetic patients. Methods: A cross-sectional study was held in the Medicine department of Mayo Hospital Lahore for six months duration from October 2019 to March 2020 among 112 selected patients Triglycerides, Serum total cholesterol, high density lipoproteins, low density lipoproteins, and insulin levels in both cases and control. Insulin resistance was calculated using a homeostatic model to assess insulin resistance.
