The well-known biography of Persian poets by Daulatshâh bin ‘Alâ-aldaulah Bakhtîshâh (according to W. Pertsch: ibn Bakhtîshâh) of Samarḳand, who completed this work A.H. 892 (A.D. 1487), and dedicated it to Mîr ‘Alî Shîr. Hammer’s ‘Schöne Redekünste Persiens’ are principally based on it.
