Practices of collaboration, data, and software of research in the community

The PARSEC team, organised by Yasuhiro Murayama, contributed a session to the Japanese Open Science Summit, 2023, in which common challenges were discussed for effective and creditable sharing, publication, and re-use of data and code with the community and to catalyse pathways to their solution. This session is part of the Belmont Forum-funded project, PARSEC, which has been extended by one year (to 2024). The PARSEC team from five geographically-dispersed countries has collaborated for the last four years on the collation and harmonisation of data and the development of new methods for sharing data and code as we investigate the socio-economic effects of nature conservation initiatives. The session language will be English in principle.
