This article will analyze stereotypes of the genre of flamenco hegemonic discourse that have led to the silence of flamenco women and it will deepen to what extent patriarchal values are internalized in the flamenco community. The focus will be the deconstruction of patriarchal characteristics, mainly of the use of the stereotyped representation of the masculine in the dance, of the control of the musical aspect in the toque of flamenco guitar, between men, and of the canon that divides the paradigmatic repertoire between flamenco singes "male" and "female".
