Ambanus pseudonariceus Zhang, Zhu & Song, 2007, spec. nov.

Ambanus pseudonariceus spec. nov. Figs 1–6 Type material: Holotype male and female paratype from Hengshan Station, Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve, Jilin Province, China, 11 August 2004, Z. S. Zhang & D. Li leg. (MHBU); female paratype from Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve, 9 August 2004, Z. S. Zhang & D. Li leg. (MHBU); female paratype from Fusong County, Jilin Province, 13 August 2004, Z. S. Zhang & D. Li leg. (MHBU); female paratype from Mt. Changbai, Jilin Province, 10 August 1988 (MHBU). Etymology: The specific name refers to the similarity of this species to A. nariceus in female epigyne; adjective. Diagnosis: Males similar to those of A. kimi (Paik 1974: 169, figs 1–4), but distinguished by the small patellar apophysis and the large groove on the conductor. Females resembling those of A. nariceus (Zhu & Wang 1994: 41, figs 15–16) (comb. nov., see notes after descriptions of new species), but distinguished by the distorted epigynal atrium, the anteriorly originated copulatory ducts, and the big and anteriorly pointing spermathecal heads. Additionally, the new species differing from A. trisaccatus spec. nov. (Figs 13–18) by the absence of patellar apophysis, the slightly gathered trichobothria on the retrolateral surface of cymbium, the curved conductor anterior branches of male palp and the nose-like epigynal atrium, the anterolaterally originated copulatory ducts and the distinct spermathecal heads of female. Description: Male (holotype) (Fig. 1). Total length 8.26; prosoma 4.59 long, 3.06 wide; opisthosoma 3.98 long, 2.45 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.10, ALE 0.18, PME 0.13, PLE 0.18; AME–AME 0.10, AME–ALE 0.05, PME–PME 0.13, PME–PLE 0.20, ALE–PLE 0.08. MOA 0.40 long, front width 0.30, back width 0.38. Clypeus height 0.30. Leg formula: 4123. Leg measurements: Male palp (Figs 4–6) without patellar apophysis. RTA and lateral tibial apophysis present. Cymbial furrow distinct and its length equal to the half of cymbium. Five trichobothria located close to apex of cymbial furrow (Fig. 6). Embolus long, originating posteriorly (Figs 4, 5). Conductor with complex bifid apex. Conductor dorsal apophysis present (Fig 5). Median apophysis reduced to small, less sclerotized apophysis (Figs 5, 6). Female (one of the paratypes). Total length 8.47; prosoma 4.39 long, 2.86 wide; opisthosoma 4.39 long, 2.86 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.13, ALE 0.18, PME 0.15, PLE 0.18; AME–AME 0.10, AME–ALE 0.10, PME–PME 0.15, PME–PLE 0.25, ALE–PLE 0.10. MOA 0.43 long, front width 0.33, back width 0.45. Clypeus height 0.20. Leg measurements: femur patella+tibia metatarsus tarsus total Epigynal atrium large (Fig. 2). Copulatory ducts originating anterolaterally, extending medially and posteriorly between spermathecae (Fig. 3). Spermathecae extending longitudinally. Spermathecal heads originating anteriorly. Spermathecal bases widely separated (Fig. 3). Variation: Body length ranges, females 7.75–8.47.
