This is an investigation on how art responds to violence against women in society. Art born in relation to violence and femicide is investigated through the critical description of the works and practices put in place by local inhabitants and by international artists such as Teresa Margolles, Lorena Wolffer, Ursula Biemann, Santiago Sierra, Regina José Galindo, Francis Alÿs. The book got the patronage of Amnesty International: For the ability to go beyond the facts of feminicide, knowing to inspire in the reader a concrete desire for change. A book that not only tells, documents perfection and denounces a plague of our time with clear firmness, but transforms art into a tool to counteract silence and dullness.
