One of the most effective and efficient tools for fighting against all odds is togetherness; and especially in a country like India, where a large number of people are socio-economically backward, a sense of collective effort is desirable to enhance the livelihood of the marginalized. Forming CoOperatives is one of the most tested and trusted tools to bring homogeneous people closer and to prosper together by confronting the challenges. Although not being an indigenous concept, and introduced by the British rulers, in India the cooperative movement has taken its shape in a positive direction.
