This paper presents a new procedure to determine the different shear strength contributions of reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened with U-wrapped externally bonded (EB) fiber-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) composite. A main shear crack, named the critical shear crack (CSC), is assumed. The shear strength contributions are related to the CSC width evolution. The relationship between concrete contribution and CSC width is a hyperbolic function with a horizontal asymptote based on the compression chord capacity model (CCCM).
