The accompanying of ribs fractures with intra-abdominal organs injuries in Blunt Abdominal Trauma

Civilian trauma is one of the major causes of death all over the world and is on the rise. One of the commonest things that introduce our presentation on trauma refers to industrialization and a constant increase in vehicular accidents. Blunt abdominal trauma forms a very important segment of the whole gamut of injuries. Surgery still remains the best treatment option for most patients with blunt abdominal trauma. However, technological advances in diagnostic procedures have led today’s trauma surgeons to implement conservative management in significant numbers. The aim; to evidence of the causes of the Blunt abdominal trauma. The confirmation of incidences to the closed abdominal trauma depending on age, gender, etc. The indication of correlation in between the ribs fractures and intra-abdominal organs damages too. Material and method; The study has a retrospective character and it has been realized within a period of time June 2004 till April 2005. This study consists of 54 cases of all patients admitting and treating in the National Trauma Center which belongs to University Central Military Hospital. The population specimen has been chosen by chance having no studying limitation. The Analysis of data; The dates have been presented in absolute value and percentage too. In order to see links between two variables, the correlation Kendal's Taub coefficient was used. In order to analyze the linking of the dependent variable to the other ones being undependable, a regression linear method has been also used.
