Attitudes of healthcare professionals to organ donation

This review was made in order to make a general conclusion by investigating the organ donation and attitude of health professionals. Organ failure is one of the most important health problems that people face. Organ transplantation, which is the only and effective treatment method in end-stage organ failure; It is the process of taking the healthy organ from a living or dead (cadaver) donor and transplanting it to the place of the damaged or non-functioning organ of the recipient. The most critical point in the realization of organ transplantation is organ donation. Organ donation; It is the person’s willingness to allow some or all of his organs to be used for sick people, either in his life or after his death. Organ donations, such as the heart, that are not possible with living donations, are needed from the dead. However, in our country, the donation rates from the dead are quite low compared to the donations from the living. The lack of awareness and knowledge of the society are among the main reasons. At this point, health workers who are in close relations with the society play an important role. It is a ‘systematic review’ which is created by evaluating the studies in the literature between 2017-2022 and compiling the results.
