Cyzicus Audouin, 1837 New records. OREGON: Lake County: Plush, 23 June 1965, gift from C.H. Eriksen, DCR- 232. Numerous pools and playas between Summer Lake and Lake Abert, off Red House Road, 12 April 2000, D.C. Rogers, C. L. Rogers. Comments. Coopey (1946) reported Caenestheriella setosa (Pearse, 1912) from Oregon. However, the genus Caenestheriella has since been subsumed into Cyzicus by Straškraba (1965) and Sassaman (1995). Taxonomically, this genus is problematical and in great need of revision (Straškraba, 1965; Belk, 1992). It is unknown how many valid species are in the genus Cyzicus at this time.Published as part of Rogers, D.
