The rising incidence of cancer generates a need of novel treatment options. Applying biological agents may represent a valuable therapeutic variant that is intensively investigated nowadays. For example, some bacteria in addition to their intrinsic antitumor effect can be used as vector systems that shuttle therapeutic compounds into the tumor. Also we can design recombinant vaccines by employing the BPV viruses against HPV (the agent of cervical cancer), the second most fatal cancer in women.
