The availability of a simple and reliable LFIA method for diphtheria toxin detection will speed up and increase the accuracy of diphtheria diagnosis globally. The efficient diphtheria laboratory diagnosis will enable timely initiation of anti-diphtheritic treatment that will save lives, prevent the development of complications, as well as stop the spread of the disease through early initiation of preventive measures.Abstracts from the Eighth International Meeting on Emerging Diseases and Surveillance, IMED 2021 November 4-6, 2021, Virtual Meeting.
