This study examined the influence of parental background on the academic performance of children in some selected Secondary Schools in Kachia area of Kaduna State. The Population consisted of 972 respondents. A sample size of 100 Senior Secondary Schools (SSS) 1, 2 and 3 students was randomly selected. Three research questions and three hypotheses were adopted and tested for the study.
