ANTI-NOCICEPTIVE AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITIES OF ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF XYLOCARPUS GRANATUM LEAVES

Xylocarpus granatum (Family: Meliaceae) is a mangrove tree species used as herbal remedy for various ailments. But the scientific basis for its medicinal use especially in pain andinflammation remains unknown. Therefore, the present study was aimed toinvestigate the anti-nociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects of the leaves of Xylocarpus granatum in laboratory animals.
