Hemodynamic Change in Patients with Severe Type of Preeclampsia under Spinal Anesthesia for Cesarean section Labor

Abstract Background: A preeclampsia with severity (SP) is a multi-systemic disease characterized by vasospasm, hypo perfusion with multi-organ and endothelial damage. Objective: to describe the changes in SvcO2 during Spinal anesthesia of SP patients undergoing cesarean section. Patients and methods: A prospective study was conducted of a convenience sample that included 25 pregnant patients with SP subjected to Cs under spinal anesthesia. Results: A positive, weak significant linear association was determined between the "basal" SvcO2 and the "final" SvcO2 (r =0.462, p=0.02). The correlation between the "basal" SvcO2 and MAP "basal" was (r = 0.137, p = 0.513), between SvcO2 "minute 12" and MAP "minute 12" (r = -0.01, p = 0.960), and between "final" ScvO2 and "final" MAP (r = 0.283, p = 0.170). Conclusion: SvcO2 during SA for cesarean section in patients with severe preeclampsia did not present significant differences.
