A PDF and latex source files for a paper that I drafted on compressed sensing of scanning transmission electron micrographs based on fixed random subsets of probing locations. The method can also be used for image compression. This paper was never finished as it was superseded by investigations into spiral and uniformly spaced grid scans e.g. https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-020-65261-0 and https://arxiv.org/abs/1910.10467.
