International experience in financing of energy savings

Subject of research.The article analyzes and summarizes the international experience of energy conservation financing with the purpose of implementing a complex of organizational, normative and legal bases for ensuring the financial resources of projects on energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption by Ukrainian construction companies. The purpose of the article is to study the international experience of financing energy saving on the basis of the concept of energy service contracts, analysis of approaches to the interpretation of the concept of «energy service contract", justification of the importance and necessity of introduction of the best world practices of the energy service, development of practical recommendations aimed at improving financing of energy saving in construction. Methodology. The theoretical basis of the research is the method of scientific knowledge. Methods for theoretical comparison, system analysis and economic generalization are used to solve the research tasks. The informational basis is scientific works on financing energy saving, manuals, electronic resources related to research issues. The results of the work – in the article on the results of the conducted research, the conclusions are grounded on adaptation of the international practice of providing financing for energy saving in view of the specifics of the current state of the construction industry in Ukraine. Conclusions – the study of international experience shows the need to introduce a mechanism for financing energy saving measures in Ukraine and the use of energy service contracting potential for attracting investments in energy efficient construction development
