The study aimed to find out the socio economic conditions of agricultural women labour and to examine the pattern of income, expenditure and savings of agricultural women labour of Thirukandeeswaran Panchayath. The nature of study is descriptive. A questionnaire was used for collection of data. The study find out that more than two thirds of the population of India is dependent on agriculture. Though Green Revolution technologies enhanced agricultural productivity, they also widened economic disparities and deepened gender discrimination in community life.
