The longitudinal interview data were collected among a privileged group of well-educated, English-speaking Iraqis who arrived in Finland as asylum-seekers in 2015–2016 in order to study different aspects of both their short and long-term adaptation in Finland. All the interviews were conducted as semi-structured, in-depth interviews in English. In all, the data consist of a total of 36 interviews, each one lasting approximately 40–120 minutes. The participants were interviewed at three different time points during their first 2.5 years in Finland.
