Analysis of the economic feasibility of the development of inclusive tourism on the example of the Cherkasy region

The subject of the research is the process of development of inclusive tourism in the system of regional economic development of Ukraine on the example of the Cherkasy region. The purpose of this article is to analyze the economic feasibility of the possibilities for the development of inclusive tourism as a new segment of the tourism sector, which is developing in close relationship with the economy and regional management of territorial development. Methodology of the work – methods of analysis (when systematizing statistical data on the development of tourism in general and inclusive tourism, in particular) and assessment (the prospects for introducing inclusive tourism into the system of tourism services, taking into account the financial capabilities of the state); tabular method (factors that limit or affect the possibility of organizing inclusive tourism) and graphical (development and implementation of regional target programs in the field of inclusive tourism in the form of a typical structure). Results of the work – The previous scientific research on the resource–recreational, sanatorium– resort and health–improving areas of research of the Cherkasy region was analyzed, on the basis of which inclusive tourism is being actively introduced. The directions for the development of inclusive tourism are determined and the factors that limit or affect the possibility of organizing inclusive tourism are clarified. A typical structure for the development and implementation of regional target programs in the field of inclusive tourism is proposed, with an economic analysis of the feasibility of introducing this direction of rehabilitation. Such models will help to understand the essence and structure of this regional project, which for the first time offers comprehensive assistance in the form of tourist services (physical, psychological, rehabilitation, health–improving, sports, etc.) with the use of professional medical assistance. The graphic material reveals the essence of the directions for the implementation of the inclusive tourism program, which are divided into a medico–social component and an economics– managerial one. Provided information on the prospects of the results of the pilot project in the Cherkasy region, by the example of which it is possible to identify problems and model the prospects for the development and implementation of inclusive rehabilitation and social tourism in Ukraine. Conclusions – a statement of the prospects for the development of inclusive tourism as a new direction of the tourism sector and a segment of regional economic development in Ukraine, using the example of the Cherkasy region, which acts as an experimental testing territory in conditions of economic instability, geopolitical challenges and impact on the national economy
