NEMO-FABM-ERSEM is a coupled numerical modelling system for simulating the marine environment, used by many research groups to address topics from Climate change to resource provision, pollutants etc. A conservative estimate is that 20 individual users of this code addressing 15 separate projects have recently, are or will utilise ARCHER2. This is a relatively expensive code system to run, especially as both model complexity and spatial resolution continues to increase. This report describes the performance optimization of the newest version of the code on Archer2 based upon simulations in the Northwest European Shelf, namely the AMM7 and AMM15 grids under eCSE04-6.This work was funded under the embedded CSE programme of the ARCHER2 UK Na...
